This chapter was founded on October 21, 2006 by the following Alabama Alumni: Brad and Jill Beard It is a little different from the other alumni clubs - there is not a venue for Bama fans to get together to watch all of the games for several reasons. Most Alabama alumni that live in London are only here for a few years. And there usually aren't too many living here at the same time. Given this, there's no way to get a venue to play all Bama games each week. Currently, not every Bama game can even be fed here. Even if they could be, there are only a couple of places that even play American sports (and they only play the top games of the week). Not to mention that night games are in the middle of the night in this time zone. This purpose of this site is to provide a place for Alabama alumni and fans that live in London to find each other. Once they exchange contact information, they will be able to get together for Alabama games and to hang out. It's been great watching the Bama games at the restaurants/bars when they are actually played here. When they aren't played, everyone can get together and watch or listen to it over the internet at someone's house. |
